Not a lot of national implications expected here (only 8 AP Poll votes between the two teams) but it should be an interesting game with all the suspensions taking place OFF the field. What is it, like 10-15 player suspensions total?

I'll certainly be flipping over to the game from time to time to see who's not playing.
 
There will be suspensions on BYU too after that idiotic and embarrassing bowl game brawl! Nebraska has new everything coaching and Jigs has said for years the Huskers are horrible :) I hope its a good game and my Cougars chew on you corn farmers some. We have a fun first 4 games.....At Nebraska, Boise State comes to our place, then at UCLA and at Michigan. Taysom Hill is a special QB and I have my fingers crossed we play well. GO COUGS!!!
 
You can't believe a thing Jigs says. He's actually a closet Husker, but his retread HC, "legendary" coach Bill Snyder is so damn old nobody, not even Snyder himself, can remember if he fought for the Union or the Confederacy.

Nebraska is a culture of crime..the players in the 70s and 80s with the robberies and women beaters, then the 90 it was a steady mix of both... then Solich was a drunk and the pelini boys were violent drunk and banged students...now even the PA announcer is scum...... what pride ! I will take Snyder as long as he is breathing over any of that crap, national titles or no.

Here's an irrelevant fact for ya, H....just to think about from now til Saturday night.

In season openers, Nebraska is 29-0...the longest season opener winning streak in the nation.... But that's not relevant. However, your QB has been jacking his jaw this week, which IS relevant. Come Saturday afternoon, he will receive a crash course on why there is NO PLACE like Nebraska. If his butt can cash the checks his mouth is writing, well and good. If not....he's gonna have a long afternoon. Welcome to the Boneyard!
 
No those 29 openers aren't relevant. It ain't as if they were actually ranked teams. You're bragging about beating the likes of "Florida-Atlantic, Wyoming, or the mighty Golden Eagles of Southern Mississippi"? Really

Nebraska plays way more patsies than they need to, to gain any relevance. Except for a couple of games their Conference schedule is a joke.
 
Well, Mike.... I'd wager if it was an ESECPN team OR Kansas State that had the record 29 opener wins, it'd somehow become damn relevant all of a sudden. But that's OK.

will there be a public announcer at the game?? seems like they can not find a guy who is not a crook, thief, drunk or backstabber to fill the booth
 
He made a comment on Facebook months ago that was not exactly complementary of Harvey Perleman....and the comment was deleted.

#1. Every poster here I'm sure has made a comment or three that they wish they hadn't made. He's not the only person who has done it....and no laws or morals were broken.

#2. The Facebook incident happened months ago. (That's in the past for you K State grads. . Using your own rhetoric and logic, Jiggsy, IT'S IRRELEVANT! Get over it, be a good little feller, and go sign your pledge not to be a thug and rectum when you get tickets to see the MildCats play.
 
Congrats, H...on a hard fought nail biter of a game. Your boys did what no team had done in 29 years. Between suspensions, injuries, the heat, and missed field goals we just couldn't make that very last second go our way. It was one helluva game. Go ahead and crow...you damn sure earned the right.
 
I have spent the day putting in a new trough out at the ranch. It was a good long day and we got water flowing tonight. I just got back to the house and pulled up the highlights. All I can say is wow! I am sure you guys are sick and I feel for the guys trying to cover Mitch Mathews. No crowing here. It was a great game and the ending happened to go our way. If you threw that ball 100 times, I bet it gets caught 5 or less!!! Sucks losing our QB for the 3rd season in a row to season ending injury. Tanner Mangum was an elite 11 and highly ranked high school QB before his mission, so I guess our hope will be pinned on him. Great Game Loomixguy!!!
 
I didn't hear until this morning that your starting QB was lost for the season. That sucks, as he is a force to be reckoned with, but your backup is no slouch.

The sun came up this morning, and life goes on. At the post game press conference, it was refreshing to hear Riley speak. He is pure class and a breath of fresh air, and I believe him when he says we'll get there. I was happy to see our coaches are able to make adjustments, for a change.

The bright spot was Youngstown State getting whipped, due to Bo & brother Carl not being able to make adjustments. They are slow learners
 
I was busy and didn't get to see or hear the game. Watched the highlights. That is about of tough a way to loose and amazing way to win a football game there is no matter who the teams are. I thought the kid hugging the ref for a second after he signaled touch down was funny.
