I have the first four Montana infusion calves on the ground out of heifers. They sure came easy and are spunky little rascals. Looks like he will be a good heifer bull. Sorry no pics. It has been to @#!@# cold!

Hi, Elwapo! We have about 25 Infusion calves born last fall, we'll go out and take some pictures, and sw will get them posted on this thread. They were born to cows because we do sire testing. Don Danell was in CO when two of his were born, they weren't due until after he got back but those short gestations...No one was around and he came home and 2 calves out of his heifers were bouncing around. Since Don lives fairly close he came over to look at ours...but they look like buffalo with all their hair. He said he will come back this spring/summer when they are slicked. Have you tried EGL Northern Wind PO68ET Reg AMGV907439? We have some of those, too, and they have a butt like you wouldn't believe! Will post some of them, too. Hope you guys thaw out up there

Ours came early as well. How were your birth weights ? My Infusion calves were all in the low 70's. Looks like the weather will break later today so calving may be a little less labour intensive.

We didn't weigh many calves but I would put those Infusions in the 70 to 80 pound range and then they really took off. The Northern Wind calves were the same size and not as early. They all really grew well, those NW calves are the thickest calves we have ever had and I bet that they out weigh the Infusions at weaning. I will take a camera with me when I feed tommorrow and try to get some comparison pictures of them. I would use either one of these two sires again. I only wish we could have kept some of them as bulls but with AGA we are supposed to cut them all so we are not competing with the owners of the sires we test. I hope that the three sires we tested for them this year have calves as good as these. If you want to loook them up, they are Magestic AMGV 819729, OZZ Ideal AMGV 938507 and Classic AMGV 815248. The Classic bull is a red balancer.
I took some pictures of the Carolina Fortune yearlings that I will try to post when photobucket is working. They are good bulls, not great. They do have super dispositions. I would like to see them thicker

I look forward to your pics. Thanks again for your appraisal of infision last year. So far I am glad I bred my my heifers to him.

here you go, it is blowing so hard today that nobody was very cooperative so I could not get the greatest pictures, all the calves wanted to do was hide in the middle of the cows to get out of the wind.

It is hard to get decent pictures of those Fortune bulls because they will not stay away from you, they follow you around like a puppy. We should have carcass data on some Fortune steers the end of this month or the first of next month so we will see if they do what they are supposed to do

those calves would be 1/2 and 3/4 GV. They do grow the hair which makes them pretty hard to look at this time of the year!!!! That much hair on them is really deceiving too.
