best of friends!! the gentleman on the left is cowboyup's "mentor"...he is truly the last of a dying breed...gentleman, cowboy, horseman!! Sadly, he recently lost his only son!! Sure was good to see him again and to see that he still has that wonderful smile!!!
DSCN2416.jpg

found some of the cattle getting into the hay still in the baler! Sent out one of cowboyup's nephews with his bull whip to "whip 'em into shape"!!

I know what you mean about the dial up,mighty slow...............thanks for sharing your day.................good luck
PS what's that ole cowboy have in the mug :D

Ranchwife, Love the pictures.....My what beautiful scenery...I love the third picture of riley and his horse..... And I agree the pictures would make a great calender..... Oh yeah nice baler..

Those are some great pics there. Those smiles are worth a million.................

You shoulda been puttin up more like these. We will forgive you this time because of the slow dial up, but don't let it happen again

2,3, 8, and 10 are my favs oh and eleven.............what the heck all of them

glad ya'll enjoyed the show!!!

The cow-eatin' dog was one of the pups we had around last christmas...mom is blue healer/red healer/border collie and dad was blue merle (spelling???) collie!! One heck of a good dog...needs very little direction and very full of "get up and go"!! :D

The smoky skies come from numerous fires surrounding our area!!! that big 'un by Big Timber and several small ones between here and there....oh yeah, and the ones still burning in Idaho!! Makes for some mighty sick folk around here if your lung tissue is already damaged!! NOT good!!

Soapweed----the gentleman in the pictures is truly one of a kind!! One of the kindest, gentlest men you could ever meet!! His son's death was a tragedy that has sent this little town of our reeling.....too young...too sad! his son was so very much like him....so full of potential and so gentle that he made the "horse whisperer" look like an amateur!! He truly had a gift and was taken way too soon in life!!! He took an instant bonding to my youngest one and they are now joined at the hip!!

Passin' thru----thanks for forgiving me!!  I will make sure it does not happen again!!

Very cool pictures...No matter where the cattle work is being done...there's always a photo opportunity. Keep your camera with ya and post more when ya can...love the Mts. in the background.

Thanks for the pictures,I give you credit, after two or three pics I've had it with slow dial-up...and thats as far as I go. I really like the pic of cowboy-up and his friend talking, shows the closeness, and the pic of Riley, still just a sweetie that boy.

I feel your pain with the slow dial up. No hope here to ever get anything different unless we were to break down and go satellite. And I just don't see that happenin just yet.
One thing that speeds the pictures uploadin to photo bucket is if you save them for web before you upload em. REally makes things move along faster. Even tho it's still slow, it does help.
My favorite of the Bunch is Movin em out.

That fort when finished, even if it is when they graduate high school, looks like it could be upgraded and used for a home....man how big is it gonna be with them support poles? lol

funny you should ask, Lilly!! I (only half joking) told hubby that I would gladly move into the fort when the boys graduated since it will probably be bigger than my current home!!!   The support poles are old power-line poles!! One end will have homemade swings and a teeter totter and the other end will house the "fort"!! Can't wait to see it done and then post pix!!

One thing missing ranchwife. A picture of you in there somewhere with the husband and kids.
Montana- a beautiful state. I have always said if it wasn't for family and friends that is where I would live. If I hit the lottery I'm going to have a place there anyway. Wishful dreaming/thinking.
