A Poem in Your Pocket:
Come, Night
Unravel the web
Those silken threads of fret
That live in scorching light,
The Real, the near,
The unforgettable
Come, night,
Solace me with silence,
Wrap me in Gauguinian colors,
Verdant, cerulean distance,
A quilt of frangipani.
Come, night.
Dreams can be dusted away
Like slivers of broken crystal,
Swept into a bin,
Taken away with the unwanted.
Come, night,
My comforter, my friend.
Together we will sleep away my fears,
Until tomorrow, at least,
When the promises arrive.

May you have a restful night, and know that the world is a better place because you are part of it. Thank you, for all of the hard-work that each of you do to ensure that we spoiled city people have good meat and beautiful vegetables available in our stores.
