I always try and take a minute on Thanksgiving and give thanks for all i have been blessed with. I am thankfull for a beautiful wife and 2 amazing kids who love me and are my best pals. I am thankfull for great parents who taught me to work and be proud of my ranching heritage. I am thankfull for good horses to swing a leg over. I am thankfull for rain on the desert. I am thankfull for a great nation that allows me the freedoms i cherish. I am thankfull for fine friends, near and far, who keep me grounded, let me lean on them and always keep me grinning. And i am so thankfull to the Lord for his uncountable blessings and tendy mercy. May we all remember how much we have and how lucky we are. My thoughts are with those of you who may be missing folks who've passed or are struggling with drought. But even when times look pretty glum, there are still many, many things to be thankfull for. Be Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving to all my ranchers.net compadres.

That was very well said, Leanin H. You covered everything that we, in this house, are thankful for so I won't list it again. We truly are lucky to have been born in the USA and Canada.

May God Bless our military, both in the USA and in other countries.

May you all travel safely this Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving and hope there grass and not enough snow so nobody has to start feeding

I started feeding on Monday and I am oh so Thankful for the 24" of snow that covered everything over and the promise of grass, come this spring. :-)

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I give thanks for every day I am permitted to enjoy on this old world we're spinning on.

Happy Thanksgiving you Southerners. Don't bloat on the turkey and pie.

the concept of this holiday always made me confused. we celebrate the thoughtful kind gesture of a native tribe helping the invaders through the winter. to which the invaders eventually return the favor by pushing them to reservations and killing off as many as they could......

confusion aside, I wish you all well, even the huskers and wolf breeders who frequent this site.

Yep-- Happy Thanksgiving to All...

Looks like today is going to be a beautiful day to be thankful for, as soon as the fog lifts... With the nice weather predicted for the weekend, I think I'll use all the extra kid/grandkid help to move the cows home from the summer pasture... Weather folks are predicting some icky weather and cold next week- so I'll get them closer to home..

I suppose we really need a day set aside so we can look back and assess all the things we are thankful about.

First off we should be thankful for all the blessings God has given us. Even when the clouds grow dark there is always a ray of sunshine that peaks through.
Then lets remember to be thankful for the wonderful country we live in. When we see all the problems and difficulties some people face in the rest of the world we so often do not see how fortunate we are and how much God has sheltered us from.

Leanin' H said it so well, as usual. I would add we in our family are especially thankful for our first great-grand baby, now 18 months old. She stopped by twice yesterday and entertained from six to 13 of us very well. Never a 'still' moment with her in constant motion! The words are beginning to come, so soon will be constant conversation, we are sure.
