We see Them occasionally here. Some years there has been some around our hay fields all summer. They are so hard on fence I don't really want them around.

AMEN-- they are magnificent and majestic to look at- but sure hell on fences...A small herd was transplanted into the Missouri breaks 50 years ago-- and now they have migrated thruout the county...
You keep them I Luv Herfrds- and if you run short we can send you a few...

Speaking with the wisdom of hindsight, the three s philosophy would be a prudent move.

The Missouri Breaks elk are the ones that come down here. They usually leave right before hunting season. A couple of years ago they didn't and one found his way into a freezer. A friend of mine that grew up on a ranch in Colorado's elk country said you'll rue the day you let the sun set on an elk.

Gee thanks guys.

As the son said too bad it wasn't hunting season.

cowboyup already got the wolves, the grizzlies moving and the granola munchers are over in the western part of MT or as some of us call it "Eastern LA"

My wife got a surprise the other day at work. They got in a load of wheat in for the mushrooms and had 5 kitten on top of the bales. They got past around the company until they got to her office. You guess it we have 5 baby kittens we are bottle feeding. The wheat came from Waco Texas about 100 mile away.

People have been seeing a pair of moose around this country the last week or so. I quess they were near my mailbox this morning. Last Tuesday there were 3 elk about 3 miles east of here. We are in northern Dawson county, Montana, about 50 miles from the North Dakota line. I would quess that the moose came out of Canada, the elk either from the C.M. Russel area or from the area around the Thed. Roosevelt park in North Dakoa.
