I baled 194 alfalfa bales today that didn't smell moldy, and weren't 5 percent regrowth. Made 90 some tonight that were as good as possible for having an inch of rain on it. Wasn't even lightning coming fast at us. Maybe we're in a drought, I suppose fires are impending. My reason for noticing is that quadrupled the decent round bale count for the year... Out of 2700 to date. Just need the dry to hang in for a week and maybe we can finish cutting the 2nd time. Wheat harvest is about 35-40 percent done here. Normally the straw is baled and we check water and go to the fair. Beer consumption is up as this circus drags on. I'm glad somebody's having a good year.
