Thought I'd post this pick of some of our horses. The church was having a trail ride at our place, and so some of our horses came down to check them out. Made for an interesting photo op.

Really nice picture :D !
I wish I had some of that blue sky. Over here it started raining last Thursday and it hasnt stoped since. Plus they are calling for rain until next thursday. LOLs Today I just had to go out and do some riding. I Got Soaked!

I wish we had that problem, roper. Seems it can't get started raining here.(AGAIN). Well, it is an even numbered year and that's what seems to
happen on even numbered years. We had a whale of a good start, tho.

Silver, absolutely stunning photo. I love it!!!
MORE! MORE!

We have to add a catagory to the photo contest called "Loose horses.
Must be more than 2."

Roper, send some of that rain this way would ya? We've only had just over 2 inches since spring, not nearly enough. The fence posts are actually loose in their holes. Makes it hard to tighten a fence when the brace posts just jack out the the hole.

FH, I agree with you, it's allways nice to see a bunch of loose horses. The sight of them can make the worst day so much brighter. However, I do feel the need to share a pic of my oldest daughter (she's 11) riding her horse from this weekend. Can you guess what it is?

Canuck Walker :???:

Nope to all... although canuck walker has a nice ring to it. It's different breeding than almost all in the first pic. Most of the first pic are reg. qhorses.

Actually, its a reg'd Paso Fino. They claim they are as smooth as silk to ride, and I know they can go all day. This horse is only five, and we bought her as a four year old for the kids. Not very often you find a horse that young that makes a kids horse. I took my six year old for a ride the other day, and he handled her just fine all by himself. We even rode by a pasture with six or eight horses in it for about half a mile, and she paid them no mind while they all did the usual things on the other side of the fence.

Well, all I ride are quarter horses, I think riding a Paso would be like riding a moped...... lots of fun 'til someone sees you dong it. lol. I have rode one half Paso, half Quarter though, and really liked the experience. Not many quarter horses are gated (although I have rode them), and the I do really enjoy the gates.

Here's a picture of a Paso/ Quarter cross, 16hh.

There is a Pas breeder near here... Have seen their horses from time to time.. Always seem like nice animals but about all I know about horses is what end is the front and what end is the back.. Think about getting some for cattle work from time to time but wouldnt even know where to start..
