The drought I'm in started in 1992.That's no joke.
We will sell some steer calves in October (bills to pay?) it would be the tail end steers and hfrs going to winter out west. The cows have winter graze for most of the winter then we will have to feed through calving.So sorry it is so dry where you are. I think most of the West is dry.
I think moving the cows to feed is a wise choice. Let us know how it goes.
How soon are you moving them and are you weaning the calves first? Or
selling them off the cow? Regardless, wishing you the best!!
