I spread 130#s of commercial fertilizer on this ground it's putting out 5500#s to the acre.

DDA Fahren 58f bull calf 62# birth weight looks to be gaining well.

Another trailer we finished up a couple weeks back 80x24'

I'd guess you got your money back on the fertilizer, I'm pretty envious. Looks like that country will really produce.
That's a good looking trailer, but I don't think I could load it full and pull it in this country.... well, maybe with an engine brake and a lot of patience on my part and the motoring public. :shock:

Nice pictures denny. A bit of clover in the hay makes it go like candy in front of the cows. Getting it to cure properly is our biggest challenge.

On these fields there's Red clover Alsike and Birdsfoot Trefoil. There's 70 acres of it on this piece.

I've had it over 10 years the thick hay like these fields gives it a bit of trouble. Most of our stuff is brome and timothy not fertilized and rocky so its a dream in that stuff.

Everything looks really good in your country, Denny.
You do such great work on those trailers. Mr. FH puts
an exhaust brake on every pickup, Silver. He says they
make pickups go fast nowdays, but not slow down
when you are loaded very well. And he's usually pulling
a trailer with some kind of a load.

Is that the trailer you took to Glendive, Denny? It's a pretty
color, too.

Tell us a little about your mower setup. My brother built two of them something like that. This was before the Rowse came out. He used the gear boxes from MM balers. I used them here until 1999.

I;m using a Kosch double mower similar to Denny's and I am having trouble getting the hay to clear the frame. My Dad says he has never seen hay like this in this country. It's rank and tangled and thick.

That's similar to here BMR. And where did all the alfalfa come
from? We have alfalfa in fields we know are 22 years old that haven't
produced alfalfa since we've been here (17 years). Does it just
lie dormant waiting for enough moisture...or what???? Even
the tame pastures have alfalfa this year. Crazy.

Ya,Ya I know. :lol: :lol: Trouble is you can't have a machine for every scenario and this one just doesn't happen very often. It would be a nice problem to have, but we have short thin grass hay more often the not. :?
