Just thought that I would throw this out to everyone in here. Has anyone been able to put up any first cutting hay this year without any rain? I went up to Chadron NE last sunday (about a 400 mile trip for me) and every hay field that I seen had been rained on and still waiting to bale. I got one field done just a 100 acre field but we had 4.50" of rain on it, took us about a week and a half to get it up. Just started yesterday on another field and stop after they were talking about getting this rain today and just as I am typing this now we are getting a good little shower. I wish I would have followed the weather a little bit close and never started. But I can't complain to much with all this rain our pastures look like they are in the best shape in years. At my place since May 23 we have had 11.50 " of rain, the last 3 years we would be lucky to get that in the whole year :!:
