I hear your having a hard time trying to find the origin of that cow down there...too bad it wasn't up here in Canada...when it reaches Nov those -40 below days keep the old girl stiff for quite a while...but if you wait till the of June there won't be much left up here either...heck if we all would have known you had BSE down there... we could have sent Oldtimer down to do a brand inspection... that 20-20 vision of his we hear is pretty good... good luck y'all...

What makes you think there is a problem identifying the cow?Packers got you brain washed?Give em time to sugar coat this and land this lil ole problem where the economic impact will be minor, then you will know all you need to know.Remember we have experts at the USDA working on this nite and day till its resolved to "PACKER SATISFACTION"................good luck

Haymaker you are really upset over this one aren't you?

IF the USDA was playing games to minimize the economic impact of this BSE case, doesn't that help producers as well?

Damn the consequences!!! Make the price of cattle fall. That will really help Haymaker sell his calves. How would that sound coming out of USDA offices?

The USDA made some mistakes, remember they are bureacrats, red tape, mistakes and all. Their job is to secure safety in inspections. They have acknowledged their BSE testing was not adequate, they need to move on and do their job with as little panick as is possible.

Thank goodness Canada has been pressing things as hard as we have for the last 2 years. The public looks like they aren't as concerned about this as they could be. A recent poll I saw had 58% of mostly women consumers being not concrned about BSE because safegaurds are in place.
