Haymaker- I feel for you folks down there...My sister called today- and I was moaning about the 97-98 degree heat up here today- but got no sympathy from her...
She explained you guys part of the country are in the 31st day of above 100 degree heat- with little or no rain :shock: :shock: ....Said she might be looking at selling her cows... :(
 
yup,its as bad as I have seen it,rain wont fix much around here,but be nice to see some rain for the wildlife,see deer movin all day tryin to survive....................good luck
 
I feel your pain. Here in my part of Louisiana where it usually stays
muddy we have not had a rain since April. The temps have remained
100+ for several weeks.

Yesterday I actually saw an alligator under a shade tree, guess the
shallow water was too hot!

looks like a pretty big thunder storm a few miles North............bearing down on us pretty fast,this oughta be interestin.

I'm reading Elmer Kelton's " The Time It Never Rained " for the second time. About three pages in it quotes a Texas saying that "If it would just rain, it don't matter who's in the Whitehouse."
