Hay all it's D' here this fine some what blustery evening :???:

little bow and I are headed south to go pick up a colt. We are headed through MT (Billings), SD (Rapid City, Sioux Falls & Sioux City), then NE (Omaha) and finally to Stewardsville Mo.

So our questions to you all ranchers net folk is WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE THROUGH ALL THESE PLACES.

And to answer everyone's question what kind of colt we are getting...It is a Suffolk Punch draft colt to run on our Suffolk Punch mares.

We will post a picture later.

Hope to here from you all and hope everyone is doing well

Weather here today was SUMMER with a high of 86% midafternoon. Messy weather predicted starting Friday night and through the weekend. Rain, maybe a bit of snow, some highs in the low 50's or less.

So, depends on when you are passing through the area.

Looking forward to the photo. We sure like draft horses, but our Percheron/Quarter cross team doesn't get enough exercise!!!!

where are you in southern Alberta-they had a nice Suffolf Punch team at the High School Finals in Williams Lake last summer. Still alot of draft horses in my country but no Punch that I know of.

Columbia Missouri, which is about 2 hours from Stewardsville Mo is suppose to be in the upper 70s and 80s for the remainder of this week, with very low chances of rain. Next week we get back into the rain, so if you hurry and get here, then you will have some nice spring/summer weather to enjoy.

If you have time, there is a Pony Express Museum in St. Joeseph MO that I hear is pretty good. I have never been, but my uncle said he enjoyed it.

Have a good trip.

I doubt you'll have time but the Custer Battlefield is worth a visit and the Dakota Arms factory in Sturgis, South Dakota. One of the best horse vets around is Dr. John Ismay at Sturgis-if you stop there tell him the Canadian Bear Killer sent you lol. I've been ona few stud horse buying trips they can be fun.
