WOW!! Stepped out the door this morning, and it's -5C, or 21F, depending on whether or not you speak English or American.  I could almost be convinced to calve cows in this weather! No.......wait a minute....no, no, no, no, no, NO. In the words of the great John Anderson, "Somebody Slap Me."

Slapppp :D

It is so nice outside, great walk this morning. Funny how we climatise,I even thought the -24 was pretty nice yesterday, today is shorts weather

Same here - 24 degrees this morning- supposed to be in the 30's today- but also 30mph winds coming in....Then about Friday and Sat, they say Mrs. Greg is going to leave that arctic door open again- and we'll end up with 10-15 Below weather again for a couple of days over the weekend....Predicting snow every day for the next week.....

Looks like I have Mrs. Greg and Shelly to thank (or cuss) for this:

Only thing good out of this arctic front is that they say it will be fast-back up into the teens and twenties by Sunday.....

Still pretty nice here- 32 degrees but snow squalls going thru...One minute the sun is shining- the next you can't see a 1/4 mile.....

Still sounding like the bad stuff of this storm is going to slip east of us :) altho they are saying cold and blustery here....

Blizzard Watch out for most of North Dakota......

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BISMARCK ND
319 PM CST THU FEB 7 2008

...BLIZZARD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST AND CENTRAL
NORTH DAKOTA FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON...AND A
WIND CHILL WATCH HAS NOW BEEN ISSUED FOR THE SOUTHWEST AS WELL...

.NORTHWEST NORTH DAKOTA HAS NOW BEEN INCLUDED IN THE BLIZZARD
WATCH FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. GROUND BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FRIDAY EVENING ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST
AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA AS AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT USHERS IN GUSTY
NORTHWEST WINDS AND MUCH COLDER TEMPERATURES. WINDS OF 25 TO 40
MPH AND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH ARE LIKELY. ALTHOUGH SNOW AMOUNTS WITH
THE COLD FRONT WILL BE LIGHT...EXISTING LOOSE SNOW COVER OF 2 TO
6 INCHES IN COMBINATION WITH THE STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE
SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. IN ADDITION...DANGEROUS
WINDS CHILLS OF 35 TO 50 BELOW ARE EXPECTED AS SUBZERO
TEMPERATURES COMBINE WITH THE STRONG WINDS. A WIND CHILL WATCH HAS
BEEN ISSUED FOR THE SOUTHWEST FRIDAY NIGH AND SATURDAY. ALTHOUGH
THERE WILL BE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW ACROSS THE
SOUTHWEST...THE LACK OF SIGNIFICANT SNOW COVER THERE MAKES WIND
CHILLS THE MOST SIGNIFICANT THREAT. THESE HAZARDOUS WEATHER
CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

TRAVEL WILL LIKELY BECOME DANGEROUS DUE TO DRIFTING SNOW COVERING
ROADWAYS...LOW VISIBILITIES IN BLOWING SNOW...AND DANGEROUS WIND
CHILLS FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. BE PREPARED TO DELAY TRAVEL.

Looks like Canada is sending more than just feeder cattle south OT. Nothing like a little "Arctic Out-flow" to crisp up a morning.

-24C here right now with -40C/-40F windchills. So much for our heatwave. It's been snowing since daybreak, so with this damn wind, I'm sure there'll be some nice drifts waiting for me when we go out to feed this afternoon.

I have had enough of this crap.
It is supposed to be -40 tonight and calm.Just what we need, and a high of -26 tomorrow. The wind is out of the north west now and is stifling :( .

It hasn't hit down here YET-- temp is 21, sunny, and really kind of nice- but I see on the radar where both north and south of us are getting snow squalls....Supposed to hit here about 2PM...
I fed behind the windbreaks as best I could-- ran into town and got my horse oats- and my running around done- now just waiting for it to hit....

Still saying most of the cold going east of me-- temps only dropping down to 15-20 below.....

What bull? I have no idea what you're talking about Northern.

OOPS! Where did he come from??!!? Okay, I'll give myself a shameless plug. He's Boughbaron Seamus 5S, coming 2yrs old, completely forage raised. Weighed 1200lbs at New Years, 37cm scrotal. He's not the deepest bodied bull we've ever raised, and this isn't a great pic of him, but he is pretty fancy in person. Rather UN-like me and Northern. :P
