We saw it last night. I encourage everyone to go see it.
I just wonder where they came up with the sweet little boy that
played the main part. I could have reached through the screen and
grabbed him. He did a credible job and is only 4 years old.
Now I plan to read the book.

Hi FH,
I watched the movie too last night :) What an incredible movie! I had the same health issue as the little boy when I was 5 years old... Such a parallel to what happened to me when I was little... Except that I was in the hospital for 2 weeks with all kinds of tunes and machines trying to clean the poison from the appendicitis erupting inside of me... I remember asking, please give me some water, even if it is from the toilet... Now that I am old and know how much I dislike germs, I can't believe I asked such a thing.

We met Todd about 8 years ago. Guess it wasn't all that long since everything happened. They are an amazing family in real life! I have read the book, but have not seen the movie. My experience has been that the movies are never as good as the book. I will have to try the movie!
You guys ought to see God's not Dead. That is a great movie also!!!

I agree that the movie is never as good as the book, ever.
I'm so looking forward
to reading the book. Thanks for the reminder of God is not Dead. I'll try
to rent that one, now that we are back at the ranch and movie theaters are
few and far between; and at the least, a long drive.

Neat that you have met Todd. I'm telling you, that little boy that played
the main part is the cutest kid I have seen in a movie for a long time.
Maybe never! At the end of the movie there are pictures of the family and
what is going on with them now.

I'm hoping to see that movie, and the other faith based movies out recently.

I saw the dad and son of the movie interviewed , I believe on FOX News not long ago, and it was very interesting. Really made me determined to see the movie, and get the book. And I don't bother with many movies, as most commercial ones are just not that good, imo. Seems like they are trying to brain wash people into one or another of mind-sets that are not necessarily a good direction, again, imo.

I agree mrj. There are certainly what I call "Anti-American' movies out there. We watched 'Shooter' on tv the other night. I thought it would be
good but I found it to be Anti-American and lost interest quickly. Too
many subtle and not so subtle remarks. This one had sentences added at the bottom so the producers made sure you didn't miss an opportunity to know how the government double crosses people. I just wanted to be
entertained, not propagandasized. (if that is even a word... )
