I am building some trailers to mount seed tenders on today I had to mount one on the trailer it went pretty well.

That is a real sharp rig, you do some real nice work. Several years ago I built a flatbed trailer with two 10K Hayes axles and another for grain with the same 10K Hayes axles. Both have duals and both have 9.50x16.5 tires and I like both and wouldn't be without duals. I found out that Hayes axles are terrible expenxive for repairs and the 16.5 tires are a bit of a pain as well, but on the other hand I really can't complain really as both rigs have really been good to me. If I was to do it again I would certainly use the Dexter axles and consider Tor-flex instead of springs. I hope people realize how good of work you do and reward you accordingly.... 8)

We've done some repairs on the 10k Hayes axels alot of times its cheaper just to sell the old Hayes axel and Buy new ones we needed brake's and drums it was cheaper and quicker to switch them out.

This is the 796th trailer to roll out of our yard so basically everything I have has been the reward from years of trailer building.Were rewarded everytime a happy customer leaves our yard :wink:

I did find out if I wanted to reline the brake shoes that Lincoln Clutch and Brake in Lincoln , Ne could do that for about 1/3 the price of new ones but I haven't needed to do it yet. Nearly 800 trailers WOW that is amazing you must have been at it for a long time. Just curious do you like the Tor-flex or the spring axles better..??

We use about 90% torflex but mainly on livestock trailers flatbeds get the majority in spring axels.

We have had brake's relined years ago here but with the liabilty on the relined pads knowone will reline them here anymore.

I have never really liked the Hayes axels especially the 10ks to change the wheel seals is a shitty job a very poor design in my book.The Dexter axels are alot simpler and the parts for dexters can be found just about anywhere.When you do find some hayes parts you pay through the nose for them you would swear they were made by John Deere..
