My boy traded his paint gelding for two blue tick hounds-talk about a win -win deal. His momma was just praising his business acumen and common sense-she seems to think he gets it from his Daddy-not. He'll be busy finding wounded bear and deer for the outfitters at least. Puppies coming this fall off 'Skookum' and 'Ruby' lol. Place your order now lol.

Congrats on a good trade!

Your story makes me think of the old movie Where The Red Fern Grows. If you've never seen it, be sure to keep a box of Kleenex handy when you do............talk about a tear jerker! Also about hounds.............

:cboy:

Yeah that was a great movie for sure. The guy were getting them from is the problem cat hunter for SERM up here-I wish we could use hounds to bear hunt up here-that would be wild. If we can find one wounded deer or bear for somebody they'll be worth it. Those willow jungles are hard to track in especially in archery season.

NR, I should hook you up with Hubby, bear hunting with hounds is one of his favorite things to do!

I gotta agree that bow season leads to lots of wounded animals. In our area, the only weapons you're allowed to hunt with, are primitive.......bows and muzzleloaders (Hubby's favorite weapon).
