She was laying out side the barn when I went to check cows this afternoon, got back ,she had gone into the barn into a stall and had her calf. Teach me to leave a gate and barn open.

With only 18 cows this is not a real world result but by the chart my cows should start the 31st of March and as of this afternoon I have 6 healthy bulls and 2 nice heifers - - - I could be 1/2 done by the 31st

I do not know if the weather caused this, or the bull, different mineral or what but so far I am not complaining!

It's good when they come in a timely fashion. What are you using for gestation period? 283 days for the Angus or 289 for the Charolais influence? Just curious.

Mr. FH tries leaving gates open, too, Jody. He usually pays for it. :D
Good the heifer found a nice place and had a nice, live calf!

You should try leaveing the gate open with 8 donkeys S.O.B 's

283 - - - chart is available at the U of Florida web site - - - I have been using this chart for several years as a guideline but this is the first time I have had this many early calves - - - I'm not complaining just surprised!
