I been lookin two days for that ole cow that had prolapsed a few days ago,she was mighty close to calving so I cut her stitches and turned her loose in a 100 acre pasture, figgered she would be easy to find if she got in trouble,I been lookin two days and no sign of her,no sign of buzzards either, whata think she's dead,or hiding out ?
Ps I hafta say she was prolapsed pretty bad.

Well Haymaker I have to say that in that danged texas heat them thar buzzards should have found her for you if she was dead.

WOO a 100 acres :!: I thought everything was bigger in Texas. :cowboy:

What's your point Big Dummie <I said I turned her loose in a 100 acre pasture so she would be easy to find>
GOOD LUCK MR Tam :D

I have had a cow disappear on a 100 acres... Found it at the neighbors  .. Have had plenty of calves disappear on 40 acre areas only to show up later when they didn't hide so well... Used to scare me half to death, now I just chalk it p to them enjoying an afternoon nap...

Well haymaker, I know exactly how you feel, it's not hard to loose a cow on a 100 acre pasture when there's tree lines and brush they can hide in. Best way we've found to find the missin one's is to go over it all, and you got the handy dandy lil mule you can ride. We've lost em and drove right by em two or three times before seein em when they are hid out in brush. If she's down that'll make it a lil harder to find ther tho. Good luck..hope she's still with us......
It aint reached 100 degrees yet, but was in the high 80s the last few days.

Haymaker, you don't have a stack of bales out there do you??If so look there,or the nieghbors,or tell all the smarty pants that you forgot a zero on the end of 100 :P Hope you find her alive but....

started out early this morning,I aint gonna quit till I find her dead or alive,as one of my multiple personalities was up at the ice house yesterday guffawing about how haymaker can track a white tail buck to his bedding area but cant find a crippled cow in a 100 acre trap.

I got an idea where she is ,two pastures over there is a bout a thirty acre flat on top of a hill, there is a wind mill up there,I got to thinking how could I not find a cow in a 100 acre pasture, there is water in two places ,checked em both and no sign.

Here we are, up there is the only place there is water, black cattle in TX heat = water.no way around it,if she is alive she is up there.

Finally,I got more things to do than cold trail an ole prolapsed cow,but she looks to be in good shape ,and about 2 miles from where I put her.
Brings to mind that ole saying "a stitch in time saves????...............good luck

So glad ya found her, and that both she and the calf are ok. To be honest, I did say a little prayer last night, after reading this, for ya. I'm happy that everything worked out for ya!

Nice lookin mama! That's a pretty baby, too.

There's yer problem Hay Maker you have nice Green Leaves on your trees. Up here you can still see throught the bush except for the snow banks :D Looks like your gonna make money on that cow fer another year. Who's gonna save the Buzzards
