Hello, all.

A hay press is where they basically squish the bales really small for shipping over seas. They take about bale and half of hay and compress it to about the size of a half bale, then band it so it won't expand again. They load all the small bales into a container and ship it off to Japan usually. How many tons you need? I might be able to get around 26 tons of decent feeder hay. I feed it to the horses ALL the time and they like it fine, makin' em fat as a matter of fact. Man....people are gonna start thinking I'm some kinda horse trader/hay broker...LOL

Better remind Mrs. Greg also!

........can I make to GA and then to Alta in one weekend
You could but I don't wear a bikini.

A cute bikini story for you Hooks. A couple years ago we were at the Lake in Pure Countrys town,Jodi lives there too, every year theres a rodeo we attend. We were with friends of ours....a few of the guys went to the beach, when they got back to the campground they wouldn't shut-up about the HOT girl on the beach in a Budwieser bikini, greg being greg and a supporter of Budwieser, just had to go look himself.....came back steaming mad and told his buddies right off and threatened them with thier lives if they went back to look at the Bud girl again, they were killing themselves laughing.....it was Jodi gregs fav niece, and the guys knew it

Hi choclab, I've heard the best hay gets compressed and goes to Japan to feed Wagyu for Kobe beef.
I could probably use another 26 tons this spring. Is it alfalfa? We don't have any way to load, haul or stack it once it's here, that's one reason I go thru a dealer. You can PM me with the details, if you like. Thanks for thinking of it!
How's the weather over there today? Looks like we're in for more of this seemingly endless rain.

My what a beautiful place. Thanks for the pictures. I've been through your part of the world a few times as my daughter lived in Seattle and later in Ellensburg. Very pretty country.

Hi RBA, nice to meet you. That photo of my horse was taken just outside of Ellensburg. I love it over there in the summer, up in the mountains. So much exploring to be done. Do you have horses?
Is your daughter still in Ellensburg?

Ohhh thanks for sharin photos.....your place is really pretty. (Even if it does look cold) hehe

And no...I"m not a Dairy farmer. My name....well....it's the name of a bar/court room....Judge Roy Bean...Law West of the Pecos. He was my gg uncle.

Thanks, Lilly. It is a beautiful place. I'm just the farm manager but I live here. It's the first place I've lived that I haven't been restless to leave!
Seriously! Judge Roy Bean? That's awesome. That's some history. Not sure how jersey ties in, if it were from back east you'd be from New Jersey and you positively don't sound like you've even been there. You're too grounded!
Happy trails. :-)

Ya' love em or ya' hate em....lol

Did I say "SCUM" I meant SALT of the earth.

Just joking they are just like lawyers.

Hate em if you are dealing with them but love them if you sit on the same side of a bank account as them.
99% give the other 1% a bad reputation.

Welcome aboard, Emma!! Hope ya like it here as there are plenty of variations of personality and most here are decent, honest folk who just like to chit-chat and swap ideas!!! :D

Welcome! Great to have another opinion and someone else to share ideas. May you have a thick hide and carry a big stick! :)

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. I'm not sure my hide's real thick but I tend to have a sassy mouth so I do find I need to carry a big stick at times, if only to use it on myself.
Happy trails.

A little history...lol

Lilly Langtry (born Emilie LeBreton) was born in 1852 on the Isle of Jersey in Britain. Nicknamed the Jersey Lilly, Langtry became the mistress of the Prince of Wales, the future Edward VII. Judge Roy Bean fell in "love" with her picture, named his bar/courtroom after her, and supposedly named the town of Langtry, Texas after her as well.

Nope I'm not from New Jersey...never been there, and no plans to go. LOL I'm from Texas.
