He's in the Army now!!!!

my sister and my father were in town last night for demodriver's last home game and they were actually THERE when Jon boarded the plane!!! Yes, lots of tears, but like sw said...these were tears of pride...especially from the man who spent 23 years in the Corps!!! Jon is (amazingly) very cool and collected...tells me not to cry and says "I'm doing the right thing, mom....just be proud of me and keep me in your thoughts!"...ohhh...if he only knew how often I do think of him!!! I am so very proud of him for chosing to GROW UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!! Thank you all so very, very much for the words of support....AMAZING how much better ya feel after reading all the posts!!!

Ranchwife,
Wish I was closer to give ya a hug...... Guess it'll just have to be a cyber hug instead....Just have to have faith in the good Lord to watch out over your son. I know he will do just fine. There is nothing more honorable than serving for your country  .. Tell him how proud we are of him...
And remember we are here to help you through this........

We just got this tonight, excellent stuff, sure to piss off the libbies but darn sure a good read. Send this one to Jon, send him THIS CROSS, but you will probably have to send them written, no email in boot camp, just print them out and send them.
