Hey,hey hey

We've had 3 inches in the last 11 days spread all the hayground with fertilizer on the 5th and it started raining on the 6th most of the time just slow all day soakers.

We finished spaying fertilizer last week but it has been cold and dry. This should help set up a decent hay crop.

I bought the spray to take the grass and foxtail barley out of an alfalfa stand. It wasn't growing much but should come to life and be ready to spray right away.

Well Big Muddy you might get to use that new vermeer baler.BTW you will like that baler. We have got 2 inches in the last hour expecting another inch before it lets up and 1-2 more tonight and sunday. We need some sun lost 2 calves yesterday manny sick.

Yipeee! It's raining here to as I type. We had one of the worst winters moisture wise I can remember. Things looked pretty grim. But 3 weeks ago we got a 4 day storm that dropped almost 3 inches of rain/snow and today it has been a steady rain all day with more on the horizon. The grass looks awesome!!!! Yipeeeeeee! Congrats to ya'll that are getting rain too and hope those who need it, get it.

No cant remember Lyle. We are flooded 3-4 so far they say 1-2 more tonight. The alfalfa looks bad here. Depending where you look some say 22 for a low would it be a good thing if the alfalfa froze to the ground and had to start over?

bmr, you mentioning, Lyle Hartman brings back a lot of memeries from years ago when I lived in Dickinson and dispatched trucks for Daggett trucklines. Lyle was good man and ran a good ship.

I wonder if he is still alive? If I remember right his place was just across the road from Kist.
It was a Mike Debtman from Beulah that ran us down to Hartmans to look at the trailer.

We've been catching lots of .30's to .60's. Few bigger rains in there. Looks amazing compared to a month ago. Probably over 5 inches in last month. Go 15 miles east and they are closer to 2 inches for same time. Just need a little more consistent heat and thing will really go to town. Everything is green as can be just a little slow.

Things look great here, but could definitely use some sunshine. We have had between 6 and 7 inches of moisture in the last 10 days. Looks like we will have hay and grass this summer. :)
