Report: AU to open with Kansas State


AUBURN -- Kansas State athletic director Jim Epps said Tuesday that his school has reached an agreement to open their season at Auburn.

According to a report in the Manhattan (Kan.) Mercury, the Wildcats' game against the Tigers will be televised by ESPN on Sept. 1. Efforts to reach Auburn officials for confirmation were unsuccessful Tuesday night.

Athletic director Jay Jacobs said recently that he plans to have the two remaining open dates on his team's 2007 schedule filled by early February. Even if the KSU date is finalized, the Tigers still are without an opponent for a planned game on Nov. 3.

I am not at all excited about this game. not as the season opener or even as a later game. I think we bit off a bit more than we can chew with this game. I sure hope the recievers Prince recruited are worth the effort....and he better teach the line to block!

I also read where we may go to a 3-4 D...... not a bright move, but again, I am not the one calling the shots.

suppose you are gonna want to bet on that game..... how about, loser drives Katrina to the winners town and she has to streak down main street!
