Hey NMBound

Howdy!!
I try to read here every couple of days, I am just such a horrible typist I don't post a whole lot   Huntin and peckin takes forever!
I wish we were in NM. We have the financing all taken care of so far, now it's just getting an inspection and doing the "we want this and they want that" kinda thing done. I am alittle worried about the septic system. It's a big deal in NM when you buy a place with an old one on it. No leach line just runs out into a ditch
There is alot of "stuff" that has to be taken off that place also. Years worth of just junk. I'm not sure why it wasn't removed before they put it up for sale but every nook and cranny of every barn and shed is just crammed full.
We didn't get to meet the old guy who owns it, but everyone in town we spoke to told us he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Everyone knows him. I'll tell you his name when we get closer to closing the deal.
We only heard one bad thing about the place while we were there. Had a man tell us the grass was no good on the place. Then in the next breath he gave me 2 names of his friends who have property for sale in Miami I think, for more money, less property and no houses on them. I thanked him and told the hubby you better call the Ag agent and check on that. Checked around and was told by several other people that was not quite the story  Plus there is about 45 cows on it right now and they are hog fat!
Anyway we are shooting for being there by November. I hope that works out because in the mean time we are having to rent pasture in Colorado for the cows we bought at the select sale in August. Hubby is not allowed at any sales until after we get moved!!! I knew I should have handcuffed that man's hands to his belt loops!!
Thanks for asking and hopefully we will be Springer residents before Christmas. I'll keep ya posted.
Patti

Dang I wrote a book and it only took me about 45 minutes

Patti,

If you get here and the sheds and barns are still full and you would like some help getting rid of stuff let me know. I have some friends that own a auction company, that I work with and we always have a consignment auction the first week in November or if there is enough stuff they can always do something on site. Sounds like things are coming together pretty well, the state is getting difficult on everyone with a septic tank, but I think your right they really make a big deal of it when someone sells a place. Well have a good one, I need to get a move on things we are preg checking the 1st calf heifers today and bangs vac. the new replacement heifers today. Should be a fun morning.
