We were at the annual meeting for Zone 3 and 12 of the SSGA and you may be interested to hear that a resolution was passed to not support any kind of Manditory check off to pay for a slaughter plant. They felt that the SSGA should support increased slaughter capacity but if a person wants to invest then that should be their personal decision and it should not be forced on them by a manditory check off of all cattle marketed in Canada.
