I was down through your neck of the woods saturday about supper time-just south of Delisle there were huge clouds of bugs around every bluff of treees-you couyld see them from a mile or more away. Did ypou have the same thing around your place and if so what kind of bug are they. Sure gave me the willies lol.

Were they black? I don't suppose you got that close. :wink: If they are what we have here, as far as I know, they're harmless. They like to cling on a person, though, if you walk through a bunch of them. Not bad unless they get in your hair. Yuck! They're not too bad around here.

I've never seen anything like it they looked like clouds of diesel smoke that hang in the evenings-definately not my cup of tea. I'm going to have to get directions to your place so we can stop by some time on our way by. I know you don't spend all your time in the Robin's Nest lol.

Not all my time, no. Actually, you can see my place out the front windows. Just look for the place with the very tall fir trees, only place around that has them this tall. MIL told me back in the early 80's that they were at least 70 years old then.

No, pure black. They hover anywhere out of the wind in clusters.

Oh how we HATE lovebugs!!!!!! But thankfully we didnt have any to amount to anythang this year. Prolly cuz it was so dry.
