I would agree with you, on the cattle putting on more of the weight on grass, if the corn price stays up. I think that is actually good for the industry, as it keeps the mother cow #'s down because of the switch towards yearlings.
Boy, what would the price of calves be without the strong fat cattle market we have now. Anyone remember 95 or 96? We sold 650# steers for 70 cents/lb, and some heifer calves were bringing less than 50 cents that winter.
