Does anyone have these and know where to get them? It's a real handy device made out of forged aluminum. Has a handle on one end, and a little bar on the other for hooking the twines to pull them off the bale. On the back side of it there's a spring loaded knife, like a box-cutter in red plastic.

We used to get them at the UFA and Peavey Mart stores up here, but haven't seen them for ages. Lost mine some years ago, and my Grandad is the only one who still has his. I'd like to get a couple more because they sure save alot of sore fingers and hands. I'll try and get a pic up of it later on.

Several years ago I purchased one of those. I think it was from Barbeejay Feed Supplies in Strathmore. Well maybe. Anyway their number was 403-934-3012. I don't know if they are still there or not as I am about an hour in the wrong direction to get there too often. Good luck on your search. Let us know how it went.

I'll look at the Co-op here in town-phone Dave Grayczk at Mortlach,Sask-his son invented them. I'm pretty sure Dave could get some mailed out to you if need be. If the Co-op has them I'll be in LLoyd on Sunday if you want to meet or I'm in Vermillion the weekend of the 10th.

Isn't it easier and more cost effective to just change the batteries in the Hotshot. This helps the wife out of the cab on those cold days and makes her mad enought to melt the ice right off the bale.
By the time you have listened to the morning market report the twine will easily be remove from the bale. :D

This tip is NOT from personal experience ans may be HAZARDOUS to one's health!

You Sir, need to come with a warning label pre-post that reads,

"WARNING!! Do Not Try This At Home"

If I tried a hotshot on the Mrs. the next time y'all heard my name would be the radio or TV.

I think Dave's phone number is 306 355-2229-I've done alot of foolish things but hotshotting my wife or anybody elses isn't one of them lol.
