i watched the first 15-20 bulls sell and it looks like they are on track to have a SAV type average. :D

No $270,000 bull yet-- but lots of $15,000- $20,000+ ones

Thanks to Ned Jr I got the bull I wanted and he brought under the average. I mentioned at Gordon Jamison's sale the 2 bulls out of 3113 and he said he thought that one or both would go for under the average due to the older genetics. Turned out both did.

The genetics may be older than what a lot of Cooper buyers were after, but I think they fit the bill perfectly for me. Mark flushed the mother of his best cow to 3113 which might be the best cowmaker in the breed. In his 3 generation pedigree there are 5 Dams of Distinction out of 7 cows. He should leave me with a bunch of great daughters and I don't think selling the bulls out of him will be very tough.
