holiday joy???????

Was having a great Chrismas eve day............until I went to do chores for the neighbors who are on vacation.......feeding went great, got to the water and lo and behold a cow or calf had gotten its leg in the water tank and broken the float off. apparently this happened shortly after I left yesterday, so I had a glacier running down the hill, Not knowing how his waterers work I had to let the cows drain the tank, find the float and other mis. parts in the bottom of the tank.....I finally said heck with it got a hose and hooked it up to the hydrant closest to the tank and will just water them this way until they get home...Hope everyone has a great CHRISTMAS.... :???:

I'll top that. Went to feed this morning and there lay a nice 4 year old cow that had aborted her calf and prolapsed. Dead. I'm not feeling to Christmassy right now.

Well at least she died first instead after several days of work.
