Drop the sugar and kool-aid from Mikes calves can't process sugar anyway.

We use a trace mineralized salt instead of table salt when we need a mix.

Thanks for pointing that out Jason! That is a "PEOPLE" Electrolyte. My wife mixes it up when we are doing a job in this summer heat and sweating bunches. Sorry for not pointing that out NR. Guess it's easy to forget that it doesn't get as hot in other parts of the world. 96 degrees out today here with a heat index of 105.

From what I gather salt is the main ingredient in an electrolyte.

No problem Mike, I forget that people need as much liquids as you do down there. I have been in the South in July and know how hot and humid feels. When it is so hot you sweat instantly but so humid it won't evaporate to cool you a body can overheat in minutes.

Northern Rancher--you were probably talking about electrolyte for calves?
1 gallon of warm water
1 tablespoon baking soda
1tablespoon sale
1 cup WHITE corn syrup
Mix all ingredients together.Give 1 quart every 3-4 hrs. to calf.

Hope you get along ok-I do have good luck with "Resorb" and Pfizers "Entrolyte H.E.
