Winter is really sinking in everywhere... Our temp finally got up to 0-- but the wind is howling down this river valley about 30mph- and the foot to 2 foot of snow we have is blowing pretty good...

Today: Snow. High near 17. Wind chill values as low as -6. East southeast wind between 13 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Tonight: Snow and freezing rain before 11pm, then a chance of freezing rain. Low around 12. Wind chill values as low as -4. Breezy, with a east southeast wind 19 to 22 mph decreasing to between 6 and 9 mph. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Haymaker--I think I will hibernate for the afternoon- pull out a jug of good Canadian for a toddy- and watch football games and/or replays of the NFR...Plug the tractor in tonight and not worry about digging out til tomorrow...

That would sure make a person forget the cracks in the ground for a while, Lilly!

I believe mine must be filling up with dust.

A fire would probably go pretty good here, but to many cracks in the chimney to trust it. This old ground here is about to pull the house apart.
