Horn hunting suprise.

Some guys came out here looking for shed horns and took some amazing pictures of a young cat. They said they let him live as they didn't have a permit. He was on a deer carcass.

It's a lasts years kitten and weights about 45 or 50 pounds. They get kicked out by the resident Tom or killed. They try to find thier own territory which is usually fringe areas that don't have a lot of habitat and game. This cat was following deer on the winter range way out on the flat. Most cats stay a lot higher on the foothills and ridges. Pictures are deifinately something pretty rare! Hunger makes animals do strange stuff!!
 
Yeah that's a strange deal for sure-saw an awesome show on wild tv today. A bowhunter got up within 15 yards of a big cat sitting on a beaver it had just killed. Pretty tense deal for awhile.
