I would like a clever way to describe how hot it was here today with the humidity but I can't think of one that is adequate. It was miserable.

Shared from my friend, Wayne Fuchs. IT"S SO HOT...I
T'S SO HOT here that:
..... robins use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
.....the trees are whistling for the dogs.
.....the best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.
.....hot water comes from both taps.
.....you can make sun tea instantly.
.....you learn that a seatbelt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.
.....the temperature drops below 90°F and you feel a little chilly.
.....you discover that in July it takes only two fingers to steer your car (one on each hand).
.....you discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.
.....you actually burn your hand opening the car door.
.....you break a sweat the instant you step outside at 5:30 A.M.
.....your biggest motorcycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and fry to death?"
.....you realize that asphalt has a liquid stage.
.....the potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull them out and add butter.
.....the cows give evaporated milk
.....farmers feed their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs.
IT'S SO DRY that the Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling, the Methodists are using wet-wipes, the Presbyterians are giving rain checks, and the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water!

Yesterday at 5 it was 101 with 25% humidity. Funny how dry it's gotten and the 15-20 mph wind just sucks it dry.

its not like that here yet. 95 and it feels like humidity of 40-60%. No breeze mostly.

Steve the seat belt branding iron reminded me I left a wrench in the sun and when I picked it up it didn't take me long to look at it.

That's one thing that's the same with hot summer temps and cold winter temps; if the wrench has been there for awhile don't pick it up bare handed.

We've had no moisture so there is none to make humidity. 104° currently & 29% humidity. Fire trucks have been rolling the last 3 days I cringe and look for smoke each time I hear them.
