How do you resize photes

My new 10 megapixel takes good pic and I can save them to my harddrive fine, but I can not upload them anywhere because the "file" (image) is too large. How can I "resize" the photo to make it smaller to upload?

Try this program. It is free, and you can resize one photo or large #'s of photos at the same time. It also has some very basic editing capabilities.

It is what I use all the time.
