i read that the farthest you can get from a McDonalds in the US is near Bison SD @ 115 miles as a crow flys or 145 miles by road.
how far are you?

from the ranch, we have to drive about 100 miles to get a Big Mac.

i'm guessing it would be about a 3 day drive for gcreek. :P

Five miles.

Small town, busy highway. I remember when they were planning it, a guy spent weeks, in the winter, 25 below, sitting at the corner a mile from us counting cars on the highway. He had us wondering at the time, because the McDonalds plan was a secret. He had all the neighbours speculating what the heck he was doing there. If there are so many thousand cars a day, then they will build. They built.

About 60 to the nearest kangaroo and soy burger joint. The kids like the tube thing at their playground but I am not much of a fan. Of the food. The playground is good to go.

5 miles- and I very seldom go there except as a treat to the grandkids...But the other day I was going from one inspection to another- needed something in my gut fast, so went thru the driveway...

I was pleasantly shocked that you could still get a plain old cheeseburger for just a buck...

40 miles to McDo's (same for BK, Arby's, Taco John's, Taco Hell, and Runza. I refuse to set foot in Runza, cause pure cabbage ain't my thing. )

You can't live far enough away from a damnable Subway. If the town has a street light, it has a Subway.

I'd like to live a lot closer to a Whataburger, the Wa Ho, or Church's Chicken, but it's a real good thing I don't!

19 miles east 24 miles west 35 miles south and 90 miles north. I don't eat at them rotten lettuce is'nt my thing.

15 Miles. I really like their breakfast sandwiches. Burgers aren't the best but will eat them just to go along with the fries.

Valentine is 60 miles away, and it has our closest McDonald's. It's kind of a decent place to eat. Having been to a few other McDonald's around the country, I would have to rate Valentine's version "the best." The staff is always courteous and efficient, and the food is good. The Angus burgers are juicy and tender, and the other burgers are tasty, too. Even the McNuggets (made from all white chicken meat) are pretty darned good. The hot fudge sundaes topped with nuts always hit the spot. Everytime we stop, there are always other ranchers getting a fast food fix, and it is a good place to visit. The price is right, also.

35 miles north, 100 miles south and about 80 miles both east and west. Our McD's here has started bringing in temp workers from out of the country. Most of them are from islands in the Carribean or some other poor nation where personal hygiene and cleanliness are not a priority. Needless to say when I saw the guy sneeze into his hand and then go back to making my sandwich I very loudly expressed my displeasure. Then I and about 3/4's of the people in line left. Haven't been back.

Were five minutes from one-I took Shauna and Emily in for icecream last night waited in the drivethrough for 15 minutes to find out the machine was busted lol. I haven't had a burger at one for years.
