Over the weekend parts of the U.S. got dumped on. We only got a measurement of .45 (we will take it) but it looks like east of us 60 miles got 4 inches and further east by Aberdeen got 8.5 inches.

Lets hear what you got.

20 miles west of you, no measurable amount  30 miles west of us, I'd say got a good rain, but don't know amount.

Cheers---

None!!! not a dog gone drop. I ain't seen rain in two months and think I have done forgot what it looks like. My pastures are short a golf course green and brown as $#!&. The hay field had $135 per acre of fertelizer on it whitch is just burning it up and the corn is burned on the end of the leaves as well. Yep, another year like this one and it will be the great Alabama wast land.

Last week, we got a lil over 5 inches. None this weekend, but looked like the bottom was gonna fall out both friday and saturday until about 1pm, then the wind blew and the clouds cleared off some, and it really warmed up and was nice n muggy.

Alabama, I thought sure I'd sent rain your way. I'll try to do better next time :D

Thank you Lilly for sending rain my way. It just did not all the way. blow harder darlin.

Got to give Lilly credit, she got 3 tenths over to me Wed. AM...if Hay Maker would get off his duff and help her out, they could get some all the way to you.

Someone around me is in good standing with the Man up stairs...had a little shower come build up right over me and drop 1.5 tenths yesterday. Came from the north east with that back-door cold front. If this pattern doesn't change, it's going to be tough again this year. Already sold all the production cows I can stand to let go...next I'll have to get into my good breeding stock. :?

ya im just south of aberdeen 10 miles and got dumped on with about 9 inches. Its really something to see. All of our fields are very flat and are just covered in water. I lost all of my hay except for 20 bales. Lost a few calves that must have just washed away or drowned. My cows are in a 30 acre pasture and a few had calves in one corner of the pasture and are stranded in that corner cause the water came up so high. News last night said its the worst flood aberdeen has ever had. I woke up yesterday hoping that it was just a dream but wasnt. It was really tough going down by the barn and seeing all my hay and corrals all under water. I spent my years of high school baling all that hay and building the corral pens. I just started planting some corn for my dad and the tractor and semi or stranded out in the field. It will be good 3 weeks before ill be able to get to it beings not any of that water will run off into anything. Corn could sky rocket from this. My dad was in iowa and nebraska this weekend and noticed hardly anything planted and they got a good shower too.

Alabama...it might be time to start with the nekid barn runs again this year to get things movin.......

I guess we will just hafta cut our hay and hope we get it baled before the next rain. We keep watchin the weather forecasts and about ever 3 days it calls for rain. With this humidity we have not hay won't dry in that length of time. So........better to cut it now.......and it may get wet, than to wait.....till it quits rainin, then the next cuttin don't have any moisture to grow on.

We got 1 1/2 inches here. 60 miles SE got 4 inches. Lots of flooding on I-29 south of Sioux City. Most the corn is in and some starting to come up here. North of Brookings, SD got 2 inches. Had 2 good days planting there and got rained out last Friday. I sure will try to blow some of this rain West River and northward. Everyone have a good week!!

Naked barn run?? You know I had forgot about that but it is sure worth a try. I'll get started on that this evening for sure.
If it still don't rain you can truck your hay to my place and roll it out and let it dry here.

well so far ive gotten close to 6 inches of rain with more to come , rain all week they say pretty much, im just north of kansas city, ponds are filling up fast if not overflowing and creeks are out of their banks, been reports of a lot of high water rescues and flooding , im just hoping that we dont get all this rain in shot then dry for a long time

We have gotten maybe 1/100th of an inch in the past 10 days or so.. We had one good 2 day rain sometime before that that gave us 2-3 inches but the ground is getting dusty.. As I type right now it is sprinkling again.. It just seems to be dieing at the Mississippi River right now.. My family has some ground down in Southwestern Iowa that has creeks and rivers busting over the banks right now... Say it is reminiscent of the flooding in 93.. Generally, if it is wet like that too the west of us we will get some moisture but well.. we are getting dry.

We had 1/2 inch last night. Probably around 6 inches this spring. Than God! I am cautiously optimistic that our prolong drought may have broken here. I can relate to that not a drop or even 1/2 inch doesn't go far with no sub mousture. I pray all you dry folks will see substancial relief. From Alabama to the Dakotas. Surely your turn awaits. If it is raining around, it will get you soon.

We got about 2 inches total. Got really wet, gathering cattle to brand yesterday. First time I got my black work hat wet enough to see brown water run off it, in about 5-6-7 years. Finally got some use out of a slicker I bought last year.

Sure sorry to hear of your troubles tlakota.

Hang in there, it will get better.

We had 2.5 inches yesterday. Have been getting an avg. of 1 inch per week for the last 3 weeks. Very little field work here in these parts. The pastures are slow in coming since it is also so cool all the time. The alfalfa looks very sick after the Easter freeze. Calves look tough and need some warm sunny days. Water is oozing out of hillsides, ponds are full to overflowing and cricks are wild. Rivers are way out of banks. Generally, things look and seem tough. :(

In southwest MN we got between 3.5-4 inches. We aren't complaining, but with the corn just in the ground we are hoping it doesn't drown. It's all up to the the old boy above that controls it. This year is happening something like last year when we got 3 inches in the last part of April that carried us to August. Around here last year we didn't get much rain after that 3 inch rain in April. But boy we were so glad we got tho. If that hadn't happened we would have had drought. Like the one of the older men in town says, "Cottonwood County has never had a crop loss. The old boy above will take care of us"
