Good Evening,
First post, sorry if it's a recurring question. My family and I just bought 10.5 acres in Southern California as a dream to finally be back on land. The house has a well that produces about 22 gallons per minute, and there are hose bibs in what is the pasture. I think one of the previous owners wanted to have a vineyard. My goal is to raise my own cattle and other animals to feed us as well as family and friends. I'm pretty much starting at ground zero with knowledge (part of the fun to me) and was wondering what I need to do to my well for proper irrigation to grow grass? Should I get another holding tank that bypasses the current pressure tank and add another just for the pasture? I was thinking of getting K-Line system, also. Any info would be awesome, thanks in advance.

22 gallons a minute isn't much in terms of irrigation. Run for 24 hours straight it only gives you 1.16 acre inch of water. So if you ran it 24/7 it would take 10 days to give you entire pasture one shot of water. Ran 24/7 for a month you would be getting a little over 3 inches per acre. I don't know what the irrigation requirement is for grass in your area. I would advise you to talk to NRCS or a local irrigation company and ask about the irrigation requirement for grass in your area.
