Hi everyone! Do you know how to make lasso? I mean no how to tie it but how to make rope stiff to keep it round shape. It is hard to get oryginal lasso in my country

The hard twist or Lay of a rope comes from how tight it is twisted as it is being built.
Most "Lasso" or Lariats aren't really that stiff. The stiffer ropes are used for Heeling cattle but softer lays are used for heading and calf roping. It is more in the wrist action twirling it over your head that keeps a loop open.

Good luck
Where abouts are you from?

Twirling, BMR? You twirl your girl and you swing your rope... as told to me by an old PRCA roper....

Yes, where are you from, Elamir?

Thanks for answer. So I will try to find some stiff rope. I thought that it is the matter of waxing during making lariats or other process.
I'm from Poland.
