Yes, welcome to Ranchers. From the little picture I would guess you are running the Red Polled Dexter's.
A couple of my cows are part Dexter, one is 1/2, her daughter is 3/4. They are both black, but not unusual for
them to throw a red calf. They don't sell as well as a standard beef calf, but I do kinda like my smaller
sized cows.
Where are the Southern High Plains ? Is it sort of like open prairie country?
