Since we cut those four players our team has really turned it around. Today we played Humboldt who sits six places above us in the league. I can honestly say that it was of the best games a team I helped coach has ever played. We shut them out 5-0 and moved within one point of a playoff spot with six games left. One of our D men threw the hardest open ice hits I've ever seen-it was totally clean but he broke the other kids collarbone. I felt sorry for the other guy but Humboldt has mopped the floor with us before. We kept changing our forecheck from a 2-1-2 to a 1-2-2 and they just couldn't figure it out. Our goalie played outstanding too. we have Tisdale at home tomorrow which should be quite a tilt.

Well to be honest sometimes my dialogue is alot like John Torterellas lol. The other coach is the real deal-no kids on the team and really knows his hockey. I'm more of a bench jockey but he runs awesome practices and can really teach. Our team is lucky to have him.The good part is we don't lose alot of players for next year.I got a call at 11'30 last night from a Dad checking out a roster spot. We'll be going to battle with the boys we have-they've worked hard and deserve their successs.
 
I hate to say it, but way to go :D haha.

I was in the Watson rink last night playing with a neighboring town's team and I saw that on the 27th I think Meadow lake is going to be playing there... would this be you or another team? I remember it was a AA team but I don't remember if it was bantam or Midget or what... I was tired and The girl I came with kept me pretty busy. :P
 
Yeah ACS that's us in town on the 27th-we have Humboldt and Watson back to back that weekend. So far the only tournament were going too is the Black Aces in Saskatoon on Easter weekend. Today wasn't so great-we outshot Tisdale 40-28 but they tied us 5-5 with a late goal. A key player could of had a better game and we'll leave it at that. our grind line played awesome this weekend-scored half our goals for us.
 
Well I will see you at both the rink and at Black Aces... gotta go support the home teams :P.

If you're in town and have nothing to do saturday night I think there's a good Sr. Rec game in Humboldt with a *superstar* goalie :P :wink:
 
Well Jan.10 is the last day for additions and deletions to your roster. After alot of thought we added that boy whose Dad called us the other night. He's happy to join the team as a tenth forward and work his way to extra ice. It's amazing how athletes will respond to a psitive challenge-one of our boys who had his icetime limited early on scored a natural hattrick on Sunday-every goal just outworking the other team. The next month is going to be interesting times for sure. Even our local paper discovered there was a Midget team playing in Meadow Lake lol.
