[Big Muddy rancher]

Did anybody ever use this bull?

I saw the name come up in a pedigree in the Montana Angus Journal and I remembered him. He was what I thought one darn fine bull at least from his picture.

Alta Genetics had him leased at one time but I don't think he cleared health to come up north.

I have friends that have cows by him that really are great cows. They also used sons of his for a couple years and are really impressed with those cows also. I wonder if there is any semen floating around that a guy could buy reasonably?

I used him as well as sold semen to several customers. He worked very well for me and most of my customers. He did add a little more white than most registered people liked but very efficient, easy keeping fertile cows. He didn't bring birth weights down in high birth weight cows but for the most part was very consistent. He also worked well at high altitude. I am pretty sure he did not qualify for Canada as he was leased by Alta as an older bull bull and was used in natural service in texas in the fall I believe. Don't quote me on that as my memory bank isn't 100% (need more RAM!!). Anyway very good profitable cows. I will try to post a couple of pics of daughters if I can get a good picture of them. Will have to wait for the snow and wind to stop, but very thankful for the moisture.
