last I heard it was a 6.5 point spread in favor of the cornholers. I think we can win it if we stay close, and pull away in the 4th. Coffman impressed me with his leadership last week. SDSU proved that Suh WAS the defense, and Martineze makes freshman errors. Legendary Head Coach Bill Snyder will find a way to capitalize on these, and the losers will turn left for Lincoln once again.....

What message is that? That they should of kept their lips attached to Texas's arse like the rest of the Big 12 instead of taking the better deal? K-St. would of bolted in a heartbeat had they had anything to offer the Big 10 that would warrant an offer.

At the end of the day, I guess it really doesn't matter what ANY Big 12 teams think of Nebraska. I'm sure Bo & Co. want to obliterate every Big 12 team they face, just on general principles. BUT, when all is said and done, and we officially have entered the Big 10, Harvey, Tom, Bo and the rest of the Nebraska contingent will be able to say: "Here comes the money!"

by claiming it is the money, and the "prestige" of the big ten ( an area of the USA that is dieing faster than any other) then NU can weasle out of the truth, thay are just not able to compete with Texas, and OU anymore, so they are picking up thier toys and leaving. bunch of arrogant a-holes who have thier heads so far up thier butts they probably see eye to eye with Obama.

The money thing isn't just athletics, although we we need more money (or think we do) because our basketball facilities are arguably the worst in the Big 12. Football also supports all of the other programs, so all the women's sports, swimming, bowling, etc... need to be funded and football is the only one that is cash positive.
However, the real money thing is in research/grants. I'm not sure how the school rating thing goes, but everybody in the Big 10 is in the highest classification, as is Nebraska. That's not the same for the Big 12. For some reason, the crew you're associated with makes a difference on your chances for that big money, and not more doors open up for us.
How can we not compete with Texas and OU anymore when we beat OU last year and Texas had to add more time on the clock to beat us?
Is this the same BIG 10 that the Mn Gophers are in???? If so I can tell you knowone up here gets very excited about college football. Well some I'm sure do but not to the extent I've seen when I visited Mikes here it's the Vikings on sunday not the Gophers on Sat. so our team shows our commitment and Knowing a few folks from Nebraska I know they are more in tune with their college teams than we are here.The big ten has had how many championship teams I would'nt know. I would never condone Auburn for leaving the SEC, nor would anyone else, for any amount of money.
Will the Huskers retain ANY of the old rivalry games? Only conference games are listed on the Big 10 website.
Hope they know what they're doing, but I just can't see it. Do you really agree, or are you just justifying it for the Huskers sake?
