with the rose colored glasses they wear in Lincoln, I thought we should look closer at the possible national title hopes in Lincoln.

#1. NU is no where near making a run at the title. granted they look good, but they will get outclassed at in a BCS bowl. let alone a title game! Florida would KILL the Huskers!
September 1 Nevada obvious win...
September 8 at Wake Forest could be the upset of the week!
September 15 USC two losses in a row???
September 22 Ball State another cupcake to take them to 2-2
September 29 Iowa State up and coming, but will not beat NU
October 6 at Missouri this is NU's biggest threat in the North. Mizzou wins by 10
October 13 Oklahoma State Gundy is jerk. but has his team headed in the right direction, but NU wins big
October 20 Texas A&M toss up game, being in Lincoln, Huskers get the edge
October 27 at Texas another loss Mack is an idoit, but McCoy will light up the secondary
November 3 at Kansas I hate KU, I even root for Nebraska in this game.
November 10 Kansas State IF NU beats Mizzou, this will be for the north title, Cats win by 3. I hope to be at this game.....will Katrina please post bail on Sunday morning?
November 23 at Colorado what CU team will show up?? seems they always have a trick ( or a cheat) up their sleeve


I am giving them an 8-4 with the potential of 10-2, but no title, not even a big 12 title. perhaps you need to stop watching the 95 season highlights, and realize the team has some holes to fill.
 
Only team that could possibly hold a candle to us is USC...... If we beat them it's a cake walk to the title........ Nanner, Nanner..............
Oh yeah....... They say their going to suit up the waterboy as quarterback to play K-state........... :D :D :D
 
in fairness, here is my thoughts on KSU


September 1 at Auburn all odds lead me to think we lose this one, but I think we have a chance playing them early...hate to play them later in the season!
September 8 San Jose State a win, or we have serious trouble!
September 15 Missouri State just another cupcake!
September 29 at Texas they will be looking to avenge last year...Cat loss??
October 6 Kansas I hate KU ...Big Cat Win
October 13 Colorado never know what to think of this team... a Cat win.
October 20 at Oklahoma State another Cat win!
October 27 Baylor TBA usually a given win, but it is hard to tell....
November 3 at Iowa State at ISU....tight game, Cat Win
November 10 at Nebraska holding my judgment till later in the season...but for now, I think it is a draw.
November 17 Missouri it is here, so we get the edge
November 24 at Fresno State I think we win this one.


I am guessing it is a 9 win season... hopefully better. a win in Lincoln would be really sweet!

I hate to rain on your Huskers parade-- but the Playboy Picks pick USC as #1-- with Nebraska rated at #21 with a predicted 8-4 record..... :roll: :wink: :lol:

I think Florida has too much speed. NU is not what it once was, but they may get there again.

I will admit, I watched that game, and when NU took a knee with seconds remaining, rather than stick it in the endzone, I was very impressed. Dr. Tom is a true gentleman. I really like the guy.


but that is in no way to be mis took as I am a husker fan!

I'll have to give the Huskers a little credit on maybe being able to hang with Florida last year.

After all, you hung with us for 3 quarters and we beat Florida in the regular season.

There's something to be said about that. :lol:

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit. The score was the same for each quarter except the 3rd, where you got a long field goal! You never scored in the 4th and we "hung" with you? :lol:

How many other teams in the vaunted SEC held you under 200 yards of total offense?
