Kids from a town east of Valentine spray painted our high school and our wooden badger mascot and the stop sign to the parking lot...... They know who did it(the place has cameras everywhere) and the kids turned themselves in the the police........ Just really P.Oes me to think someone would do that to our school.

I think I might know a bit of the feeling you are talking about, katrina. We seem to have had a run of ugly stuff happen that involved the kids of some of our friends and the friends of some of our kids.

In one case, it took an unwanted pregnancy to get one young woman (teen) to go back to the home that she had seen as too "restrictive" before. She will now have a tough row to hoe as a result of her choices. And I know it takes 2 - how does society get the young buck to take responsibility when he is too young and stupid to be a man?

And today we just learned that the son of some friends of ours is in jail for lighting a stack of square bales on fire, while two others face charges of being accessories. These are all kids that have occasionally been in and out of our doors, interacting with our own kids.

All of them have had some close brushes with the law before, and seem to loose any and all good judgment when they get in cahoots with each other. The one young chap called our oldest son (who has been something of a buddy to him) to tell him what they had done.

My son seemed to get the idea from their conversation that remorse is less beneficial than restraint. Even though I know all of there kids, my initial reaction is to lay a lash or two across their backs. I don't know if that is right or wrong.

WHERE ARE THESE BRATS GOING TO LEARN RESPONSIBILITY? Aaarrrrrgh!

Maybe you need to take a page from the "Scarlet Letter" and make them wear big red "V"s on their shirts for the rest of the year.

that is terrible. I am all for a good rivalry, that is what makes small town football so great, but this is a bit far. hope you guys teach the kids a good lesson!

It's like being violated......I hope I don't have to see our mascot victor e badger all spray painted.......... He stands at the parking lot to welcome the students and parents to VHS... Badger booster club and the whole community works very hard to have a really nice school........ Just makes me fighting mad...

do you have a picture of this badger??? I am affraid it may be a blow up mascot, like lil red........

herbie Husker, I thought was pretty cool, but that lil red guy is gay!

a man that wears that size of condom, better marry a gal who will sit in the back of the car, cause his"unit" will be riding shotgun!

Valentine seems to have it's problems lately. Did they catch the guy vaselining his private parts and leaving imprints on public places???

Just a brief update on the vandals at the highschool...they got over $11,000 fine...250hrs of community service..each...probation for 3yrs...each....written and oral apology to the school and school board. and something else that I can't remember...They were defintly caught by the security cameras at the school, prosecuted and charged with a Misdeamenor, but they sure got the max when it came to punishment. Some folks say "good" others say "it's to much" either way I'll bet these kids will think twice next time and also future warning to other vandals in Valentine! I can't wait for the "vaseline" guy to get caught...just the humiliation of the crime will be funny to me...lol

perhaps you need to take a copy of the imprint he left behind, and run all over the county searching for the guilty guy, kind of like they searched for Cinderella! Katrina will help ya !
