I call my grey horse "cotton"

been lots of fun breakin this grey horse,and looks like he will make a horse,but I just dont have the time it takes,be the last young horse i will ever own.

I like the horse. I like the name.

Probably he will be the last horse you will ever NEED to own, Haymaker.

That bit has a lot of shank on it for a young horse, Haymaker.
How does he ride with it?

P.S. You've trained that horse well, Haymaker. If we tied a horse up over his neck like that he'd break the bridle AND the reins. How'd you teach him to stand so nice?

It is alot of shank but,I keep telling everyone that will listen..............it aint the bit,its the hands,I can be brutal to a horse with a snaffle,or gentle to one with a high port.
He rides good with that bit,because I ride him with a loose rein,then if I need some bit ,I have it.
I dont have him tied with his rein just looped a few times,if he was to spook he could pull loose easy.
That rail is too high,so he can stick his head under his rein..............as usual thanx for the compliments................good luck
 
He sure seems calm. Never say never. U'll see one u fance again and have the itch it get him rite. Soon, I'm sure. I'm a. Sucker for a grey. I'm lookin at a reg. Grey cracker stud that's dog broke and bomb prof now. He's comein 6 and aint been around cattle but a little. But he's bred good as far as crackers go. Streat ayers, long headed and all. I got 4 good cracker mares and would like to ride this stud for my horse. They say he's a gentleman like myself. I wish I could put my son with u for a summer and let u learn him about horse trainin. There's a 70 year old man that lives close to me. He's a whisperer. It was a see to beleave deal for me but I had a cracker stud that needed killin. I give him away to a lady that took him the the man. 5 days later, he had a girl on his back. He's a dead broke gildin now. Never bucked. Nice lookin horse, u did good.
 
You couldnt pay me to run my boot to the heel on a horse like that.........gimme a 20 year old dead broke mare,its a differnt story,it goes kinda like this............what would you rather do loose a stirrup or get hung up in one,luckily the one time i got hung i was young and spry enough to grab a hangin rein,was the last time i ever buried my boot in a stirrup when i sit a green horse.

PS bring your boots you are welcome to try him,you better have em laced tight and i wouldnt reccomed buryin your boot to the heel,ole gray mule of mine really dont like strangers,last time a meskin boy wanted to try him that ole gray pinned his ears meskin boy decided ..........maybe not :D :D
