So at about 830 i dumped about 5.5 inches of rain out of my guage. My whole pasture is flooded i really hope my calves are gonna be alright. I came into the small town of warner to check my brother in laws house and some streets are completely flooded....almost everybody has water in the basement. Electricity keeps going out so that could be bad. THis has been a tough spring, for my first spring calving.

I watched on the news that parts of SD were getting hammered, and it aint over yet...Hang in there...yur calves will be ok...they may have to grow web feet...but they'll make it. Hope your family gets through this ok too.

Those calves are pretty tough as long as you have a high spot for them to lay down. The rain will stop and they will be up and at'em.

Rain is what makes the world go round. It's a gift from God..

rain is good stuff and maybe i was just getting greety for not wanting anymore. We have a crick that runs by the house and that is far out of its banks. This morning when i checked the gauge we had a total of 8 1/2 inches. In aberdeen there were a few streets that were flooded and emeregency boats were rescueing some people. Few cars were completely under water. The weird thing is, in the local newspaper on may 3rdd they posted all the flooding pictures from '97 and then all this happened all overr again. I watched the video from the '97 flood and this is pretty darn close. Anybody else have any rain reports?

We got an inch of rain over the last few days, and last night it snowed 8 inches just west of here. The interstate was shut down with a bunch of wrecks. Cold and blustery day though. Can't wait for a warm up. Should be green for a bit.
