I drove thru Dog River last night.

We had some sites down there the first couple years they have been filming... lots of spectators thats for sure and so weird to see it filming. Even weirder to see it when they are not filming everything looks so empty!

They board up the gas pumps in the off season now. I wonder how many people pulled in for gas and to use the bathroom when it was first built?
 
I'd like to see Dog River. What's its actual name? Iv'e heard but can't remember. Corner Gas is my favorite show after Rick Mercer.
 
Roleau is just hopping ever since the filming started. I went to school with a guy from there who said the town just started booming after filming started. Apparently it used to be just crazy down main street and hardly a day would go by without being asked directions on where the filming was taking place. I thought whenever they weren't filming the windows were all boarded up so I just presumed most people would think that it was abandoned... but that was assumption and maybe some people aren't all that bright! Definitely good for Saskatchewan though!

It is spelled Rouleau just up the road from Wilcox home of Notre Dame which i assume is Wolverton (Spit) :wink:
