Here it is, Monday mornin', 4:00. I remembered I forgot Good Sunday Mornin' yesterday, while digging out some gates. Just got inside from a productive check, and rememberd to at least say something. Sorry if some of you missed GSM.............God bless anyhow.

I hear that your country was blessed with a pretty big dump of snow, Shortgrass. Also heard that it fell straight to the ground instead of horizontal. Hope that's all the case and the wind hasn't worked it all into the borrow ditches. 8)

Hope you & your critters came through the storm alright. Received just an 1" of snow here, but cold & windy. Only 4 calves born during the storm and all came through just fine except for 1 cow won't let her calf nurse.

It's hard to figure; I saw her in labor and was watchin', it was an easy labor, she got right up and licked the calf off and when I went back to see if it was nursing... the calf was on it's feet but she was 50' away and every now and then she would walk up to it and push it away before retreating a good distance off. I though maybe she was going to have twins but it never happened.

Places had no wind, I guess, but we had 40 mph sustained winds, and gust to 48. Ours is in drifts, but it was wet. I had 2 during the storm, one of those is not sucking yet either.
